Chapter Elections

Dear  Orlando Chapter Member:

Chapter Elections Are Here – Help Shape the Future of Our Chapter!

It’s your turn and we need you!  We have many capable and willing members who have the skills, talent, and desire to lead our Chapter. This is your opportunity to make a positive difference -- do it now – nominate yourself or someone else for a Chapter Board position.

Each year we conduct elections for our Chapter Board Members in accordance with our bylaws and the new board takes over in the fall of the year prior to November 1.

The Board positions are set up in staggered rotation so that the entire Board is not turning over in the same year.  This helps to provide stability in the running of our Chapter.  This year we will be electing the following:

  • PPresident: 1 year term
  • PMember Services Director: 2-year term
  • PEvents & Activities Director: 2-year term
  • PFinances & Records Director:  2-year term
  • PCommunications Director: 2-year term

An overview of the duties of each office and a nominating form is included in this message. You can nominate yourself or someone else from the membership who you feel would be an asset to our leadership and foster the growth of our Chapter. Our mission is connecting women to learn, play and enjoy golf for business and for fun. Being a Chapter Board Member or serving in a key capacity is a meaningful way to contribute to the Chapter decisions and operations and help carry out our mission. Yes, it takes a commitment and the reward is tremendous! Please consider making a leadership commitment and complete and return the attached nomination form.

Many of us joined the organization without knowing anyone in LPGA Amateurs. The friendships we have made and the lives we have touched have been amazing rewards for such a minimal contribution. I hope you will join us in sharing that experience.
